*Unchanging God*

Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation. Lamentations 5:19

One of the many attributes of God is that He doesn’t change. That is, He never diminishes in power, love and in doing good. God is not a man that can be today and gone tomorrow. He revealed himself unto Abraham as the El-Shaddai-The All sufficient One.

He is still the All- Sufficient One today. He said to Moses,‘‘I am”. God is fond of revealing Himself to man to showforth the part of Him that is yet to be known and He does that to show a pattern to man so that man can know He can always be related with as whatever He reveals Himself to be from generation to generation.

He parted the Red sea when the Israelites were at a cross road, the same God made them walk through the river Jordan. He did that to reveal that He has not changed. He delivered David from the hands of death when Saul sought to kill him.  He has not changed. He is the same God.

Whatever it is that you have seen God do in the scriptures or in the lives of others, He is able to do the same and much more for you because He has not and cannot change.

This means there are thoughts and imaginations that are against the knowledge of God. They are anti-new life images and thoughts. Here Paul shows the primary tool that the devil uses against believers-thoughts and imaginations and this is because the state of our minds determines the expression of our spirit. And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.  Colossians 4 vs 17 Ministry is God working through man; it’s not man working apart from God neither is it God working apart from man. It is very important therefore to know that the strength and character of God seen in a man is not solely the responsibility of God but the responsibility of God and man. To this end, Paul wrote to Archippus a direct instruction which is worthy of note. That instruction is our opening scripture. Looking at the instruction, we need to break it into three: Take heed to the ministry The ministry that you have received in the Lord That you may fulfil it.
