*Grace is God’s Love*

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, have quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” ( Ephesians 2:4-5)

There is a great danger when we view God’s love in the light of human love, whatever is the best expression of human love that you have seen; God’s love is greater than this. The Bible talks about His manner of love, that while we were yet sinners (enemies of God) Christ died for us.

It’s a man that can go on to say I love you and not show it. Imagine you tell your friend you are hungry and he refuses to help get some food to eat, even if he says he loves you a million times, you will never believe in his love; that is a claim of love without a corresponding action.

Love is not love until there is an action involved; that is a corresponding action showing the sincerity of love. God’s love has an active side and that active side is called grace. God expressed His love towards us by making provision for all we need through grace. Love is the personality of God (1 John 4:8), and He shows this to us through grace.  Beloved receive the love of God today.

This means there are thoughts and imaginations that are against the knowledge of God. They are anti-new life images and thoughts. And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.  Colossians 4 vs 17 Ministry is God working through man; it’s not man working apart from God neither is it God working apart from man. It is very important therefore to know that the strength and character of God seen in a man is not solely the responsibility of God but the responsibility of God and man. To this end, Paul wrote to Archippus a direct instruction which is worthy of note. That instruction is our opening scripture. Looking at the instruction, we need to break it into three: Take heed to the ministry The ministry that you have received in the Lord That you may fulfil it.
