*Mind Your Imagination*
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2nd cor 10:3-5,
Our above text says to cast down imaginations and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. This means there are thoughts and imaginations that are against the knowledge of God. They are anti-new life images and thoughts.
Here Paul shows the primary tool that the devil uses against believers-thoughts and imaginations and this is because the state of our minds determines the expression of our spirit. Believers are to mind their minds so as to express the realities of the divine life.
Ephesians 6:16 says the way to stop/put out imaginations and thoughts suggested bythe enemy is through faith. After you might have prayed to God and the devil comes to you with negative imaginations, respond with the shield of faith.
Your imaginations affect our faith life, therefore it is importance that you refuse to dwell on the negative. If you can’t picture yourself in it, you can’t feature in it. As believers we must paste the right images on our minds.
